Now when curating works or bios, the organizations who’ve played a role with both can be uniquely curated with the same level of detail and linking. Organizations are a critical when describing the world’s most significant works. When Persons get together and form Organizations, their CreativeWorks deserve the right tools to describe them to online audiences.

This system allows referring to one published Organization page from another. This allows defining parent organizations and sub-organizations such as branches, departments, sections, franchises and teams within organizations. This also allows organizations to reference their sponsors, funders, members and more whether they’re Persons curated on the site or not, whether they’re other Organizations curated on the site with their own pages, or not.

There’s 26 standard fields added to WordPress to allow defining the Properties of Organizations, from address properties to non-profit status. There’s 15 different fields that allow multiple values to be recorded independently. That’s where the real power comes in that no other WordPress plugins provide. Declaring which Organization is the Publisher of Structured Data is required by Google for structured data to qualify for Rich Results.
